In use
Most people who buy a floor panel discover they do not have anywhere to put it. This one sits at arm’s length on a desk or bench, holds a consistent distance because you are seated, and folds away when you are done.

The case for it
01
Seated at a desk you are the same distance from the panel every session. Standing in a bedroom, you are not — and irradiance falls away sharply with distance, so that inconsistency undoes the dose.
02
Red and near-infrared run independently. Most panels at this size fire both together, which removes the only meaningful control you have over the session.
03
We publish irradiance at stated distances, with the meter and the method, on the Our Testing page. Quoting the manufacturer datasheet would be easier and worth nothing to you.
Angles toward you on a desk. No standing, no clearing a room.
The step up from a wearable without giving up floor space.
Published research on these wavelengths has examined intradermal collagen density, skin elasticity, local blood flow and muscle recovery protocols. The studies are listed further down, described rather than interpreted. Read the studies

Using it
01
Twenty to forty centimetres across a desk or bench. Tilt the stand so the emitting face points at the area you are covering rather than at the ceiling.
02
Red, near-infrared, or both. Once our measurements are published you will be able to read the figure at the distance you actually sit and set the duration from it.
03
A 300 × 200 mm face covers a face, a shoulder, a pair of hands or one knee well. For a back or a torso, the P900 is the right size.
Evidence
A panel covers skin and body in the same session, so both halves of the literature are relevant. A fair sample of each, described as independent work on wavelengths rather than on this device.
Measures examined
A controlled trial of red and near-infrared light exposure looking at skin appearance measures, including participant-reported satisfaction and intradermal collagen density.
Wunsch & Matuschka, 2014 — Photomedicine and Laser Surgery
A review of light exposure applied to human muscle tissue in a sports-science context, covering the protocols and timing used across published trials.
Ferraresi, Huang & Hamblin, 2016 — Journal of Biophotonics
A review of the proposed mechanism: red and near-infrared wavelengths are absorbed by cytochrome c oxidase in the mitochondria, which is the pathway the whole field is built on.
Karu, 2008 — Photochemistry and Photobiology
A review of dose response in photobiomodulation, and why more light is not linearly better — the biphasic curve that makes irradiance and duration matter more than raw wattage.
Huang, Chen, Carroll & Hamblin, 2009 — Dose-Response
These are independent published studies on red and near-infrared wavelengths. They were not conducted on Skyluxe devices, they are described here rather than interpreted, and nothing on this page claims this product will reproduce their results.

Why buy this one
Almost every device in this category quotes an irradiance figure lifted from a factory datasheet, at an unstated distance, often taken with a meter that was never calibrated for narrow-band emitters. Nobody checks it, so nobody corrects it.
We measure each device ourselves once it lands in Australia, at more than one distance, and publish the instrument and the method beside the result. Where we have not measured something yet, the spec table says so rather than borrowing a figure.
Specification
A marked placeholder means we have not measured it yet. Figure and method get published together, or not at all.

A desktop panel for seated sessions at a fixed distance. Dual-wavelength output at 660 nm and 850 nm with independent control of each band, on a folding stand that tilts the emitting face back through about thirty degrees.
It is sized to sit on a desk or bench and point at a face, a shoulder or a pair of hands from 20 to 40 cm — close enough that the dose is predictable, small enough that it does not need dedicated floor space. The frame is extruded aluminium with a matte powder-coat, and the stand folds flat.
This is the entry point to the panel range. If you want to cover a back or a full torso in one session, the P900 is the smaller step up.
Specified, tested and supported in Australia. Measured irradiance for this panel will be published on the Our Testing page before the first units ship. We do not quote figures we have not measured ourselves.
Wavelengths: 660 nm red, 850 nm near-infrared, independently switchable
Coverage: approximately 30 cm x 20 cm emitting area

Comparison
You are almost certainly comparing this against something. Here is where the difference actually sits, rather than a feature grid with ticks in every row.
| Point of comparison | Skyluxe | Typically imported panel |
|---|---|---|
| Irradiance figures | Measured by us on arrival in Australia, at stated distances, with the method published | Quoted from the manufacturer datasheet, distance often unstated |
| Wavelength control | Red and near-infrared switch independently | Both bands fire together, or a single combined mode |
| Warranty holder | Held and honoured in Australia by Skyluxe | Referred back to an overseas manufacturer |
| Trial | 30-day home trial, return freight paid by us within Australia | Unopened returns only, freight paid by the buyer |
| Pricing | AUD, GST inclusive, free tracked shipping worldwide | Currency conversion plus tax and freight added at checkout |

A standing panel puts your face at an awkward distance and your eyes in the beam. A contact mask fixes both. Added alongside a panel, the Radiance Mask is discounted at checkout.

The risk is ours
Not thirty days sealed in the box — thirty days actually used, which is the only way to know. Send it back inside the window and you get the full amount refunded to the original payment method, including anything already paid to Afterpay or Zip. There is no restocking fee and no condition about original packaging. Within Australia we book and pay for the collection; for orders shipped overseas the return arrangements are on the Shipping and Returns page.
This trial is something we offer on top of your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Those consumer guarantees apply regardless and cannot be excluded by us.
For a face, a shoulder, a pair of hands or one knee at a time, yes. For a back or a full torso, no — that is what the P900 is for. We would rather tell you that here than have you return it.
Because we have not measured this unit ourselves yet. We will publish the numbers, the meter used and the method on the Our Testing page before the first unit ships. Quoting a manufacturer datasheet figure would be easier and worth nothing.
It is designed around a 20 to 40 cm working distance, which is a comfortable reach across a desk. Irradiance falls off sharply with distance, so once our measurements are published you will be able to read the figure at the distance you actually use.
Buy this if sessions will happen at a desk and you are covering one region at a time. Buy the P900 if you want to cover a back, a torso or a pair of legs, or if you would rather not upgrade in a year.
It emits light at specific red and near-infrared wavelengths at a stated intensity, for a stated time. That is the whole mechanism. We describe the technology and cite the published research on the Science page, and we publish our own output measurements on the Our Testing page. We do not claim the device produces any particular health outcome for you.
Honestly: it varies, and some people notice nothing. Published studies on photobiomodulation generally run sessions over eight to twelve weeks before assessing anything. If you are looking for a same-week result, this is the wrong purchase. If it does not suit you, the 30-day home trial exists precisely for that.
Do not look directly into the LEDs. Red and near-infrared light is not ultraviolet and does not tan or burn, but the emitters are bright and staring into them is uncomfortable. Wearable devices ship with eye protection built in or included. Keep eyes closed during face sessions.
Our general guidance is short, consistent sessions rather than long, occasional ones — typically three to five sessions a week. Dose depends on intensity, distance and duration together, which is why we publish the Dosing Guide rather than a single number.
Return it within 30 days of delivery for a full refund, used or unused. Within Australia we book and pay for the collection; for orders shipped overseas the return arrangements are set out on the Shipping and Returns page. This is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, which cannot be excluded.
Free tracked shipping worldwide, in protective packaging, with no order minimum and no freight added at checkout. Australian metro deliveries typically arrive in two to four business days, regional in three to seven, and remote areas longer. International orders typically arrive in seven to twenty-one business days depending on the destination. Any import duty or local tax charged by your own country is set by that country and is not included. Full detail is on the Shipping and Returns page.
Every Skyluxe device carries a [EDIT: warranty term] warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship, honoured in Australia by us rather than by an overseas manufacturer. Our warranty sits alongside — never instead of — the consumer guarantees you have under Australian law.
No. Skyluxe devices are supplied as general wellbeing products, not as therapeutic goods, and we do not make therapeutic claims about them. If you are managing a diagnosed condition, speak with your health practitioner.
